Highway, not 'parking lot'

Re. Trying to tune traffic signals (Castanet, May 10)

Working on the traffic signals on Harvey Avenue (Highway 97 through Kelowna) is a waste of time and money.

The (Ministry of Highways) has to figure out a way of getting rid of the traffic signals. Overpasses or underpasses are needed to get the traffic flowing—either that or a bypass.

The cities of West Kelowna, Kelowna and Vernon, and the DIstrict of Lake Country need a highway not a parking lot.

Robert Taylor, Kelowna
