Wants a bypass route

There needs to be an alternate route from across the Okanagan Lake.

The ideal solution would be to have a four-lane highway from the Pelmawash Parkway and Highway 97 intersection to just past Gorman’s mill (on Highway 97 in Wet Kelowna.) It would be above the existing Harvey corridor, complete with off ramps at the major intersections. Traffic would be able to go straight from Lake Country to the Okanagan Connector (Highway 97C) or Peachland without any major interruption.

That would take the majority of the city traffic away from the downtown core, which is stop and go. Traffic would flow freely straight through downtown and beyond. Please explain to me why that wouldn’t work, except for all levels of government being so grossly inept on all accounts.
