Plenty of seasonal celebrations happening around the Okanagan

After that one good day of autumn we had a few weeks ago, the holiday season has come barreling towards us like the Polar Express. So here’s another handy guide to upcoming events.

Nov. 18, Osoyoos: Join the fifth annual Holiday Shopping Party at the Destination Osoyoos Visit Centre for wine, appies, and a seasonal sale.

Nov. 19, Naramata: The Naramata Inn lights up for its third annual Holiday Glow Up, with 25,000 twinkling lights, complimentary hot chocolate and cookies. Santa is scheduled to visit the Inn on Dec. 3.

Nov. 19-20, Okanagan Falls: Wineries around Okanagan Falls-Skaha Lake are bringing back their weekend of Holiday Cheer, with each winery offering tastings, treats, and special deals. Reservations for most experiences are recommended.

Nov. 20, West Kelowna: Take in a holiday wreath class at Little Straw Vineyards and enjoy a glass of wine.

Nov. 26, Penticton: Pop by the B.C. VQA Wine Information Centre’s holiday open house featuring guest wineries, small bites, and local gifts.

Nov. 26-27 and Dec. 2-4, Oliver: The District Wine Village hosts an outdoor winter market with 16 local vendors featuring crafts, baking, and great gift ideas.

Nov. 25-27, Naramata Bench: Township 7’s Okanagan tasting room invites you to indulge in Wine & Chocolate, with four wines paired with chocolates created by local chocolatier, Maison Mulnati. Reservations required.

Nov. 25-27 and Dec. 2-4, Oliver: Vin Amite hosts its eighth annual Winter in Wine Country cheese fondue. Special discounts and gift baskets will be available for your holiday shopping.

Nov. 26 and 27, Lake Country: Flights and Frostbites returns to the Scenic Sip wine trail with markets, photos with Santa, fire pits, and more. In lieu of tasting fees, bring a donation (cash or non-perishable food items) for the Lake Country Food Bank.

Nov. 26, Dec. 2-3 and 9-10, Summerland: The Winter Wine Experience returns to Okanagan Crush Pad with wine tastings and canapes. Reservations required.

Dec. 3, West Kelowna: The Westside Wine Trail presents Sip Into The Season with complimentary wine tastings and cookie pairings. Bring an item to donate to the Central Okanagan Food Bank.

Dec. 3, West Kelowna: Visit Grizzli Winery’s Christmas Market. Family and pet friendly, enjoy browsing local artisans and creators, a festive photo booth, mulled wine and more.

Dec. 3-4, Salmon Arm: Visit Ovino Winery’s Christmas Open House for samples, shopping, and gift baskets.

Dec. 4 and 11, Penticton: Bring your camera for photos with Santa, by donation to the South Okanagan Children’s Charity, to Cannery Brewing.
