Traffic is backed up south and north of Peachland after a four vehicle accident took over Highway 97 at 13th Street.
The accident took place just before 3 p.m. on Sunday.
According to a witness on the scene there was up to seven vehicle occupants injured, the extent of their injuries is unknown.
One lane of Hwy. 97 is open alternating directions.
The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.
