RCMP say Peachland senior with dementia located after being reported missing

RCMP say a 72-year-old Peachland woman with dementia who went missing Thursday afternoon was found overnight.

Police initially said the senior failed to return home after going out Thursday afternoon.

Helene Tougas left her home on MacGregor Road at 4 p.m., driving her Ford Escape.

Police were concerned for her safety and well-being as they say it was not like her to be out in the evening.

About 11:20 p.m., RCMP advised Tougas had been been located and is "safe and sound."
