Naramata Water Line

Residents near Naramata Road are thirsty for a new water line.

Five of the eight residents on Riddle Road in Penticton have signed a letter asking council to improve water flow in their area by installing a six-inch water line.

The city will be upgrading the watermain on Naramata Road and the line would be an extension. Last week, the letter was voted on to be sent to the review process for local improvement funding formulas. This review comes after a split council decided to pay the full costs of the upgrades. Opponents failed to receive the needed signatures during the alternate approval process.

Riddle Road was part of the original Naramata Road upgrades but was cut from the process. Currently eight homes on Riddle Road have no fire protection, and the line would a big help in fighting fires.
