RDOS Board Highlights

For the Regional District Okanagan Similkameen Rural Land Use Matters Board Meeting of November, 2006.

The Board approved a development variance permit to allow construction of a proposed swimming pool within the grounds of 214 Heritage Boulevard in Heritage Hills. The proposed development is not within 30m of any watercourse and will be beyond 10m of the top of the bank.

A first and second reading was given to a rural land use bylaw amendment regarding a subdivision application on Princeton-Summerland Road. The amendment will now proceed to a public meeting.

The Board adopted Bylaw 1882.08 regarding zoning of 20 hectares on White Lake Road.

RDOS staff are currently taking part in seminars and consultations with local construction associations to prepare for upcoming changes to the BC Building Code.
