Holiday Events

Many holiday events are taking place in Penticton next week.

Voodoos on Nanaimo Avenue will host the annual Boxing Day Hog’s Breath Reunion Open Mic Night on December 26, starting at 7 p.m.

The Smith and Company Coffee Shop on Winnipeg Street is featuring a film by Sharon Rose titled 2012 The Odyssey. The film will be shown on the afternoon of December 31st beginning at 1:30.

There will also be lots of activity downtown to ring in the New Year. There will be a Wine, Dine and Dancing event held at the brand new Orchard House on Orchard Avenue. Proceeds will go to Okanagan Stage.

Take a step back in time aboard the SS Sicamous and celebrate New Year’s Eve with a Speak Easy roaring 30’s theme. Those attending are urged to dress in period attire.

Kyle Anderson and the Amazing Rubber Band will host an Amazing New Year’s dance at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre. Entertainment will also include a special performance by the Penticton School of Dance.

Martini’s on Martin will ring in the New Year with entertainment from the Black Birds.

There will be three separate events to choose from at the Penticton Lakeside Resort with entertainment ranging from Velvetines in the Hooded Merganser to recording artists Silverlode in the Barking Parrot.

The evening is then completed with a Fireworks Display.
