High Rise Public Meeting

A large crowd is expected at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre Monday night for a special public hearing dealing with the proposed Waterside Resort on South Skaha Lake Road.

Over 300 people packed the Convention Centre during the November 23 public hearing for the proposed three tower resort.

Councilor Joanne Grimaldi says some new information will be presented at the meeting by the developer.

“The proposal has been re-worked based on the comments gathered at the last public hearing. I'm looking forward to hearing what the public has to say now,” says Grimaldi.

She says one matter she hopes will be discussed is the size of the buildings.

“There seems to be some discrepancy between what size the developer is going by and what the neighbours think it is, so hopefully that will be clarified,” says Grimaldi.

The meeting starts at 7 pm.
