S. Main Sewer Upgrade

A large townhouse development on Penticton’s South Main Street will be getting sewer upgrades.

City council has voted in favour of spending more than $462,000 to upgrade the sewer line to the 25-unit townhouse.

City director of development and engineering services, Mitch Moroziuk, says during peak flow conditions, the existing sewer line exceeds maximum capacity.

A larger 300-millimetre diameter pipe will be installed.

The upgrade will be partially funded by development cost charge revenues.
