Simon-Pierre Houde had been driving on Drought Hill at approximately 9:45 p.m. when the Mazda he was driving was struck by a Buick that West Kelowna RCMP say appeared to have crossed the centre line, though the matter is still under investigation.

Houde was pronounced dead at the scene.
