Interest in the Penticton city council byelection remains high, with 962 votes cast on the final of three advance voting days for a total of 2,521.
General voting day is Saturday, June 19 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., the final chance citizens have to vote for one of 10 candidates running to fill an empty seat on council.
Voting will take place at both the Seniors' Drop-In Centre and the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre.
The city notes that the Seniors’ Drop-In Centre is a smaller venue and there may be line ups. They will make every attempt to get everyone voting as quickly as possible while maintaining COVID-19 safety protocols.
