Oliver council approves $400K loan for new fire truck

The Oliver Fire Department will be seeing a new truck coming their way.

The town will be borrowing $400,000 to bring in a new pumper truck on a 20-year repayment term.

The truck comes at a cost of $655,931 plus taxes, with the Oliver Fire Department contributing approximately $328,000 toward the truck.

Council unanimously approved both the loan and the contract award to HUB Fire Engines and Equipment Ltd for the truck.
