Santa Claus Parade cancelled once again for Penticton

The annual Santa Claus Parade will not be appearing throughout Penticton for the second year in a row, due to the ongoing pandemic.

The City of Penticton's economic development manager Carly Lewis confirmed that unfortunately, no parade will be happening this year.

Last year, the city planned to set up a "Candy Cane Lane" for residents to drive through for a holiday celebration, but that event was also cancelled due to updates with the provincial health regulations.

This year, the festive spirit will be alive and well with markets, events and a chance to take photos with the big man in red himself.
