Critteraid Animal Sanctuary in Summerland looking for volunteers to help keep their rescue clean

Volunteers for kitty care

Casey Richardson

A Summerland animal rescue is in need of volunteers that help keep a space nice and tidy with the benefit of also playing with plenty of kitties.

The Critteraid Animal Sanctuary is seeking helpers for shifts that involve picking up after the cats, with everything from cleaning their blankets, and their litter boxes, doing their laundry and refreshing all their food and water every day.

"This is just a couple hours a week where you get to come and hang out with some pretty amazing cats if we do say so ourselves and help keep their space clean, healthy and safe for them," Animal Care Team Member Jess Byer said.

All days are open for volunteer shifts.

Anyone interested in volunteering and providing some of the needed help can send Critteraid an email at [email protected]
