The City of Penticton has issued a boil water notice for residents south of Brantford Avenue after a water main failure at Lakeside Road and Brantford Avenue is impacting the system.
Residents will need to boil their drinking water for at least one minute before drinking.
The water main is experiencing low water pressure in the water system, which is impacting homes directly south.
The city said that no water pressure may lead to contaminants entering the water system and further sampling and testing are currently being conducted in the system.
Crews are aware of the situation and are working to resolve the matter as quickly as possible.
The boil water advisory notice to the municipal water supply for the area south of Brantford Avenue managed by the City of Penticton, and the boundaries of the area affected, include:

- Brantford Avenue – all residents
- Finnerty Road – all residents
