Penticton Mayor Julius Bloomfield announces Community Radio Week

Penticton Mayor Julius Bloomfield has issued a proclamation on behalf of the city declaring the first week of February as Community Radio Week.

The mayor made the announcement on the steps of City Hall Tuesday afternoon, alongside representatives from Peach City Radio CFUZ 92.9 FM.

“We are thrilled that the City of Penticton is recognizing the value of community radio,” says Peach City Radio society president Claire Thompson.

“When you tune in to Penticton’s community radio station — CFUZ — you are hearing volunteers, local people who are passionate about highlighting the local music, news and issues of interest to people who live here.”
