Okanagan Falls due to be featured on CBC show about struggling small towns

OK Falls on TV show

An upcoming episode of a popular CBC show will feature Okanagan Falls.

"Still Standing," hosted by comedian Johnny Harris, is a show that tours Canada profiling struggling small communities that are, despite the odds, sticking it out.

Harris talks to locals, explores the local economy, and performs a stand-up act.

The show has recently launched its eighth season, and according to IMDB, the Feb. 22 episode will feature OK Falls.

"After decades of decline in its traditional fruit tree and cattle ranch economy, Okanagan Falls is banking on a new crop to turn things around: the intoxicating wine grape," reads the episode description.

So far this season, the show has profiled Gibsons, B.C., Oneida ON, Morden MB and LacLaBiche, Alta.
