Fighting, but not talking

Members of the public stepped in and stopped a brawl in downtown Salmon Arm over the weekend.

Staff Sgt. Scott West said on July 8 at around noon, there was an fight between two parties who police believe were known to each other.

“The altercation occurred on Lakeshore Drive downtown in Salmon Arm,” said West. “Witnesses were able to restrain the combatants and call 911. The police attended and the parties did not wish to co-operate with police.”

One of the combatants was checked by provincial ambulance crews and released.
