Shooting heads to Supreme

A man charged with attempted murder in connection with a shooting on the outskirts of Enderby one year ago is facing a trial in B.C. Supreme Court.

Norman Dybdal, 59, was arrested following the shooting of a man on a property in rural Enderby on Oct. 19, 2015.

RCMP were called to the property in the early evening where a seriously wounded man was located. He had been shot several times.

Dybdal faced a two-day preliminary inquiry in Salmon Arm provincial court last month where it was decided there was enough evidence to send the case to trial.

Dybdal is charged with four offences including attempted murder with a firearm, use of a firearm for committing an indictable offence, aggravated assault and intentionally discharging a firearm while reckless.

His next appearance in court is Nov. 23 when a trial date is expected to be set.
