Summerall's Liver Failing

  • Broadcaster Pat Summerall was in hospital in stable condition Friday awaiting a donor organ for a liver transplant. The veteran broadcaster was flown Thursday by air ambulance to Jacksonville from Fort Worth, Texas, where he had been in Methodist Medical Center's intensive case unit since early this week. Summerall is a recovering alcoholic.

  • Chicago Blackhawks forward Tuomo Ruutu is the NHL rookie of the month after recording 16 points in 15 games in March.
