Get up to $150 back when you book trip to Dine Out Vancouver

Don't miss this foodie fest

Need a little inspiration for your next weekend getaway? The Coast is calling, and you should answer. Experience an unforgettable culinary experience at Canada’s largest celebration of food and drink, the Dine Out Vancouver Festival.

The festival kicks off on Jan. 20, 2023, for its 21st season and runs until Feb. 5, 2023. The annual foodie fest features more than 350 restaurants offering multi-course meals from $20 to $65, plus a series of culinary experiences, tours, events and hotel offers.

Now visitors from the Interior have even more incentive to enjoy a culinary adventure in the city; when you book a hotel stay on the Dine Out website during the festival dates, you will receive a $75 Mastercard gift card for up to two nights.

“You can apply those to the cost of the hotel, or you can use them to go out to dinner or shopping,” Dine Out Vancouver Festival manager Lucas Pavan says.

In recent years, Vancouver has garnered an international reputation for excellent food.

“Vancouver is now one of two destinations in Canada that are Michelin-rated destinations,” Pavan says.

“We have 19 restaurants that are participating in Dine Out Vancouver that have been star-rated or recommended by the Michelin Guide. Within North America, there are only seven destinations that have been rated by Michelin.”

In addition to hundreds of great restaurants to enjoy multi-course meals in, Dine Out Vancouver also offers unique food experiences that take your dining experience to new heights.

Here is just a sample of some of the events you can enjoy (and taste!) during your trip:

Introduction to Dim Sum

Dim sum is a unique tradition where food is part of a bonding experience shared with friends and family. Whether you’re new to the scene or an experienced connoisseur, the Introduction to Dim Sum event is sure to be a pleasant surprise that will have you appreciating the tradition and history of dim sum on a deeper level.

Your host, Thomas Robson, is a long-time resident of Vancouver’s historic Chinatown, chef, author and host of the Emmy-nominated cooking series, “Entrée to Asia.”

Street Food City

Vancouver’s original street food festival returns for its 11th year. Located outside Vancouver’s Art Gallery, Street Food City gives visitors the perfect opportunity to sample a diverse collection of Vancouver’s most popular food trucks, all in one convenient location.

Vancouver has a long history of street food, but in the past decade it’s undergone a dramatic transformation and now boasts a multitude of delicious cultural options. The city’s outdoor dining culture is as lively as ever, with many options making for an exciting dining experience outdoors.

Sea Foraging with Chef Robin

Last year’s wildly popular sea foraging event is back after selling out the year before. This event teaches participants what you can sustainably sea forage in Vancouver without a boat.

The wildcraft guide will discuss how to sustainably forage for seaweed, fish, crab, sea urchins, sea cucumbers, clams, scallops, oysters, geoduck, mussels and more delicious seafood.

Chef Robin will share her harvesting tips and serve her famous hot foraged chowder at the seashore.

Partial proceeds from the event will go to the Pacific Salmon Society, a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to the conservation and restoration of wild Pacific salmon and their habits.
