HVAC, automation leader Kimco Controls launches new website

Kelowna-based HVAC, automation, and electrical service company, Kimco Controls, launched a new digital presence on Dec. 21. This new vision for the longtime leaders in building management systems, HVAC, and electrical helps to honour Kimco’s 38-year legacy. Kimco has been investing in their employees and expertise for nearly 40 years and is excited to mark this next step in their journey, which stands to continue to keep electrical, HVAC and automation in Kelowna and B.C.'s interior on the digital map.

The new website design can be found at www.kimcocontrols.ca, outlining the many services and preventative maintenance solutions offered by the local building control systems company, including:

And much more, for various industries such as education, government and institutional, residential, commercial, and indoor growing.

At the same time, this new online direction celebrates Kimco’s community initiatives, as well as the company’s history and milestones on the journey to becoming leaders in the industry.

An HVAC Legacy

Since opening its doors in 1984, the building management system company has expanded within interior B.C., opening a Cranbrook office in 2019, and a Penticton office in 2020. This expansion allowed Kimco to better serve the regions in automation, electrical, and HVAC in Cranbrook and Penticton.

With 70 employees and growing, Kimco attributes its success to three things: people, passion and pride. People, because the employees are more than ventilation and heating technicians, they’re family. Passion because everyone who works for Kimco is passionate about what they do — the job is more than just HVAC controls. Pride because the company is proud to provide the best service possible to their clients.

A Passion for DDC Controls

Fourteen years ago in February, Tim Armstrong chose to work with Kimco because the company “stood out in Kelowna as the [HVAC] controls contractor that had the most to offer,” he said.

The DDC Service Specialist is one of many long-time employees who have made a career at Kimco, thanks to the wealth of room for growth and opportunity. “It gave me exactly what I was looking for and, in all honesty, Kimco is the best company I’ve ever worked for,” he said. “From an employee's perspective, I couldn’t have asked for a better job.”

Armstrong has always been passionate about electronics and technology and was attracted to the variety of work available to him coupled with room to expand his skills within the organization. He quickly found that the company was a place he wanted to stay. “They allow you to take responsibility for your work,” he explained. “[And] there’s no bottom line on customer satisfaction.”
