Vernon RCMP and Search & Rescue went on a hunt for an abandoned jet ski on Kalamalka Lake Saturday night but were unable to find it.
Witnesses say two boats launched from the Kalavista boat launch at about 9 p.m. with their lights on.
"Vernon Search and Rescue deployed two boat teams and ground crews to the Rail Trail," says Vernon Search and Rescue. "After an extensive search of the shores of Kalamalka Lake from Vernon to Oyama, and speaking to several witnesses, our members were unable to locate the seadoo in question."
