Now more than ever, local businesses need support and the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce is looking for nominations for the Business Excellence Awards.
“Businesses have done some amazing things this year through innovation, above-and-beyond customer service, community support and taking care of their employees,” said Dan Proulx, chamber membership and marketing coordinator. “Let's make sure we recognize them for it. Businesses have been through a lot.”
Proulx said a nomination could be the boost a business needs to get through these trying times.
In light of the ongoing restrictions because of COVID-19, the chamber has decided to move forward with a virtual business awards ceremony on Oct. 23.
The nominees in 10 categories are based on completed forms from the nominees. People's Choice is selected through an online, public vote, and Business of the Year is selected by a panel of judges among all nominations
Nominations are open through Aug. 23 and can be made at the chamber's website.
