Mabel Lake wildfire has grown, but wildfire service doesn't have updated size yet

The Bunting Road wildfire on the east side of Mabel Lake has grown since Tuesday, but an estimated size is not yet available, BC Wildfire Service reports.

The last size estimate was 3,000 hectares as of Tuesday evening.

One helicopter is supporting ground crews working on the fire today.

An investigation is still being conducted as to what caused the wildfire, which was discovered July 7.

The Regional District of North Okanagan has issued an Evacuation Order for 18 parcels and approximately 66 properties in the area.
