The Regional District of North Okanagan has extended the local state of emergency resulting from the Bunting Road Wildfire.
In a news release Monday evening, the RDNO says it has also expanded the evacuation order on the east side of Mabel Lake and issued an evacuation order.
The changes were made on the recommendation of the BC Wildfire Service.
The RDNO says local police and other agencies will be expediting the orders.

The fire, about 41 kilometres northeast of Lumby, has grown to about 3,000 hectares in size.
