Sherrilee Franks seeking Vernon council seat in Dec. 4 byelection

Castanet has given each of the Vernon council byelection candidates the opportunity to introduce themselves on video and present their reasons for running.

Sherrilee Franks is heavily involved in the community, in the business and non-profit sectors.

Franks operates two businesses locally – one in real estate, and one in the tech sector.

Franks says her experience operating two very different businesses has given her insight into some of the challenges businesses face in the city.

“I'm huge in volunteering in Vernon,” said Franks. “Non-profits in Vernon is what makes our community.”

The byelection was called earlier this year after the passing of former Coun. Dalvir Nahal.

Election night is Dec. 4.
