Jamie Morrow seeking Vernon council seat in Dec. 4 byelection

Morrow wants less red tape

Castanet has given each of the Vernon council byelection candidates the opportunity to introduce themselves on video and present their reasons for running.

Jamie Morrow has lived in Vernon for more than 40 years and wants to see the city thrive.

“My pressing issues in this election are the state of our business community and local economy, homelessness, and affordable and attainable housing,” says Morrow.

Morrow says it's time to lift Interior capacity restrictions to come in line with the rest of the province.

He would also work to reduce red tape for the business community.

“I don't like seeing businesses leave our community because it is too hard to do business here,” he said.

He would also like to see more housing in the Greater Vernon area.

The byelection was called earlier this year after the passing of former Coun. Dalvir Nahal.

Election night is Dec. 4
