Vernon Ski Club hosts Warren Miller's Winter Starts Now at Towne Theatre

Film kicks off ski season

Warren Miller ski films annually signal the unofficial start of the ski season.

Vernon Ski Club is hosting a public screening of Warren Miller’s 72nd Winter Starts Now film, Thursday evening at Towne Theatre.

"What a great way to kick off the ski season. Bring your family out and enjoy the show before heading up the mountain the next day for the opening of alpine skiing," says ski club president Lauren Carr.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at Olympia Cycle and Ski – cash only.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m.

Vaccine passports will be checked at the door.

Vernon Ski Club trains young athletes in alpine racing.

"The Warren Miller film screening is one event we do to raise funds through the year. All proceeds of the evening go towards coaching and equipment to support our athletes," says Carr.
