Okanagan Science Centre hosting CSI event for Vernon Winter Carnival

Calling all sleuths

A 'crime' has happened at the Okanagan Science Centre – and you're recruited to help solve it.

The CSI-themed Vernon Winter Carnival event takes place at the Polson Park facility Feb. 10.

Centre manager Dione Chambers says people are invited to join the scientists at the centre for the after-hours, adult-only event where the science centre will be transformed into a crime scene and participants will have to use their forensic skills to solve the crime.

Tickets are $25, and each team will consist of four members.

“We've got some amazing prizes. We will have drinks and all sorts of fun stuff,” Chambers says.

For younger scientists, the OSC will be hosting daily gallery shows during carnival.

“It's themed off the Magic School Bus. We will be using the science-based programs that they do,” said Chambers, “and that is included with admission.”

Kids will discover new creatures, travel through time and space and learn about the mysteries of science at the family friendly event.

Take note – the centre is closed on Mondays.
