Vernon Winter Carnival hosting 1950s Happy Days Sock Hop

It's time to dig out those poodle skirts and leather jackets.

Vernon Winter Carnival is inviting people back to the 1950s for the Happy Days Sock Hop.

Dress up in your '50s attire and enjoy a delicious dinner with friends and family as you’re entertained by '50s and '60s-styled music from The Legendary Lake Monsters, says carnival.

Take a spin around the dance floor with dance instructors or grab your group and take photos in a retro-themed 'photo spot'.

The nostalgic party takes place Feb. 9, from 4:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Prestige Vernon Lodge.

Tickets are $30 each ($25 for seniors) and include dinner and the dance.
