Remains of missing Kelowna man found in Adventure Bay area of Vernon

Tragic end to search for man

The case of a missing Kelowna man has ended in tragedy in Vernon.

Vernon RCMP confirm that remains discovered in the Adventure Bay area on Jan. 25 are those of Dillon Angle.

The 32-year old Kelowna resident had been reported missing Oct. 19.

"The remains were removed and have been confirmed to be that of the missing Kelowna man," says Vernon RCMP spokesperson Const. Chris Terleski.

No criminality is suspected.

The BC Coroners Service is conducting an independent investigation to determine how, where, when and by what means the deceased came to their unexpected death.

Police and search and rescue volunteers searched Okanagan Lake in the area in November after Angle's vehicle was found at the Tronson Road boat launch on Oct. 19.
