The Calgary Flames have signed Connor Zary to a three year entry level contract

Flames sign Blazers Zary

The Calgary Flames have officially signed Kamloops Blazers Connor Zary to a three-year, entry-level contract. 

Zary, the Flames first-round pick in the 2020 draft went 24th overall and will receive a maximum NHL salary of US$925,000 annually, according to capfriendly.com.  

Playing in the minor league AHL, he will receive an annual salary of US$80,000. 

Zary is currently playing with Team Canada at the World Junior Championship in Edmonton, where he has two assists in four games, his most recent coming today (Dec 31), in the second period against Finland. 

According to capfriendly.com, he also receives a signing bonus of US$92,500.   

Zary, who is in his fourth season with the Kamloops Blazers, has netted 38 goals and added 48 assists for 86 points during his time with the team.
