Rockets reduce roster

The Kelowna Rockets continue to make tweaks to their roster ahead of Friday's home opener.

The Rockets Wednesday reduced their roster by reassigned two players.

Defenceman Will Irvine was reassigned to the OCN Blizzard of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, while goaltender Nicholas Cristiano was sent to the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds of the BC Major Midget League.

The moves leave the Rockets with 25 players, including three goaltenders, seven defencemen and 15 forwards.

The Rockets still have to make at least one move by the weekend.

With four overage players on the roster, goaltender Cole Schwebius, defencemen Tyson Feist and Jake Lee and forward Mark Liwiski, one will have to be moved to get down to the league maximum of three.
