Colby Knight earned his first WHL shutout in the Rockets 3-0 win Saturday

Rockets earn PG sweep

Goaltender Colby Knight bounced back in a big way for the Kelowna Rockets Saturday night.

Unable to get out of the first period in each of his last two starts after surrendering a combined seven goals on 13 shots, Knight turned aside all 21 shots he faced in leading the Rockets to a 3-0 victory in Prince George.

The win capped a perfect northern road trip which started with Friday's 5-2 win over the Cougars.

Andrew Cristall's fourth of the season midway through the first opened the scoring and stood up as the game winner.

The Rockets broke out two-on-one but Jake Lee, the trailer on the play missed the net. The puck ricocheted to Pavel Novak at the point. His shot toward the net was redirected by Cristall.

Off another rush late in the second, Lee pinched in from the right point, spotted Max Graham in front who roofed his third of the season.

Tyson Feist sealed the win with an empty net goal with just two seconds left.

The Rockets outshot Prince George 33-21, and were perfect in killing off all five penalties they were assessed.

Kelowna has now won four in a row, and are unbeaten in regulation time in seven straight, going 6-0-0-1 over that stretch.

They'll play back-to-back games in Portland next Friday and Saturday.
