Blazers postpone Friday home game, reschedule it for February

Blazers move home game

The Kamloops Blazers have rescheduled a game Friday due to highway closures brought on by recent severe weather in the Interior and the Fraser Valley.

The Victoria Royals were supposed to have visited Sandman Centre on Friday for a 7 p.m. face-off. The Blazers announced Wednesday that the game has been rescheduled and will now take place on Feb. 16.

Season ticket holders have been told to hold on to their Friday ticket for use on Feb. 16. Single-game ticket holders, meanwhile, can use their tickets for the Feb. 16 makeup game or any other home game this season, based on availability.

A pre-game ceremony on Friday was scheduled to honour former Blazers club president Don Moores. That ceremony will now take place ahead of a Dec. 4 game against the Kelowna Rockets.

The Blazers remain red-hot. The team is ranked fourth in this week’s Kia CHL Top 10 rankings, dropping one spot from last week.

The Blue and Orange will kick off a four-game, week-long road trip in the U.S. Division on Saturday in Kent, Wash., against the Seattle Thunderbirds.
