Kelowna Rockets ready to welcome all fans back to Prospera Place Wednesday

Rockets welcome full rink

Sports and concert venues across the interior are rejoicing today after word capacity limits throughout the Interior Health region have been bumped up to 100 per cent.

The announcement by Dr. Bonnie Henry Tuesday comes more than a month after capacity limits throughout much of the rest of the province were bumped to 100 per cent.

"We have waited a long time for this news," said Kelowna Rockets president and general manager Bruce Hamilton, a vocal opponent of the two-tiered limits.

"The Kelowna Rockets and Prospera Place have had vaccine passports and masking protocols in place since the season began.

We can't wait to welcome all of the loyal Rockets fan base who meet the British Columbia vaccination passport criteria back into the building. Beginning tomorrow night our fans will be allowed to see Rockets hockey in person once again."

The first home game with unrestricted limits is tomorrow night when the Rockets host the Vancouver Giants.

Tickets for Wednesday's home game and all other home dates are on sale at selectyourtickets.com, at the rink, or by phone.

Fans attending Rockets games are reminded provincial health protocols remain in place, meaning masks are mandatory, and proof of full vaccination is required.
