The water main on Carrington Road has been fixed, and there are no Water Quality or Boil Water Advisories

Broken water main fixed

A water main that broke in West Kelowna earlier this week has been repaired, and Water Quality Advisories are no longer in effect.

The water-main break on Carrington Road in Westbank First Nation has been repaired and the Water Quality Advisory for Sonoma Pines and Lakeview Ridge apartments has been lifted.

The water-main break which on Sept. 9, 2021 required water sampling to ensure no contaminants entered the system. The results came back clean on Saturday, and no Water Quality or Boil Water Advisories are in effect on Westbank First Nation lands.

The City of West Kelowna wants to extend their appreciation to the crews who worked to fix the broken water main, and to the public who remained patient during the repairs.
