West Kelowna business offers free afternoon of obedience training for dogs

Dog lover alert: free training

If you have a dog that could do with a little tweak to their behaviour, or just want to meet fellow dog lovers, Stu Foord, owner of Pawtanical in West Kelowna, may be able to help.

"We're holding a free, indoor training session on Saturday."

The event runs Saturday, September 18, starts at noon and runs to 4 p.m. The event features trainers Lynne Optland and Shona Gagnon of Okanagan Trick Dogs who will be offering free training services for the afternoon.

"This is for all pet owners to meet trainers and trainers to meet pet owners, all well behaved and leashed dogs welcome," Foord says.

The event will feature an obstacle course, trick demonstration, drop-in obedient class, fit paws circuit, networking with local dog owners and trainers, and nose work.

The training session will take place at 1760 Byland Road unit 2.
