Traffic backed up in both directions after three-vehicle crash

A serious crash near Peachland has backed Highway 97 traffic up.

UPDATE 4:15 p.m.

DriveBC reports the crash has been cleared. Motorists should expect delays while the traffic backlog clears.

UPDATE 3:35 p.m.

DriveBC reports the highway has been reduced to single-lane alternating traffic.

Traffic has been backed up all the way to the Highway 97C junction.

ORIGINAL 2:10 p.m.

A serious crash has stopped Highway 97 traffic through Peachland Friday afternoon.

Photos from the scene show a silver Honda Civic has T-boned a blue pickup truck, while a third vehicle also appears to have been involved.

Traffic appears to be backed up in both directions between Princeton Avenue and Ponderosa Drive.

A witness at the scene tells Castanet it doesn't appear that anyone involved suffered serious injuries.
