Man hurls threats, tire iron, in attack in Glenrosa parking lot

RCMP made an arrest after a violent incident outside the Glenrosa Convenience Store Wednesday.

At about 11:50 a.m., the West Kelowna RCMP responded to a weapons complaint in a parking lot in the 2900-block of Gorman Road. A male suspect had allegedly assaulted another man and caused damage to a vehicle.

A caller told Castanet a man with a Bowie knife threatened another man in a vehicle and then threw a tire iron through the window of a pickup truck before police arrived.

Officers arrested a suspect for assault with a weapon and mischief, and he was released to appear in court at a later date.

According to the RCMP, the parties involved were known to each other. The investigation continues.

No one was injured in the incident.
