It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the loss of a wonderful man that had a smile that would light up any room. Everyone knows his smile and sparkling eyes will never be forgotten.
Keith David Nelson passed away on June 24, 2020 at Kelowna General Hospital after a lengthy illness. Keith was born in Rabbit Lake, Saskatchewan in 1951 and moved to Barriere, British Columbia where he remained for the rest of his life.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 45 years Norma Lynne Nelson, his pride and joy two sons Jared (Erin) and Kyle (Tiffany) and his precious grandsons Nate, Breckin, Rhett and Nash. He will also be missed by his sister Gloria, other loving family as well as many nieces, nephews and friends which Keith loved and cared for deeply.
Keith is predeceased by his father Charles, mother Sadie and sister Judy.
We will dearly miss this strong, quiet and loving man. Keith had a passion for all sports including basketball, curling and his favorite baseball. He was the best short stop of all time. He loved going camping, hunting, fishing and getting firewood with his sons, grandsons, relatives and friends who all loved going with him. Keith will truly be missed by his wife and sons. He had many accomplishments that included a Pee Wee coach, A5 35 coach, assisting in the construction of the Barriere Splash Pad. He enjoyed mowing the lawn at Timbermart.
Thank you to Dr Hern and staff at the Barriere Medical Clinic. Thank you to Homecare staff Laura, Jeannine, Doctors and staff who looked after Keith at Kelowna General Hospital. Norma, Jared, Kyle and family wish to thank MaryAnn for helping guide us through the loss of our hero.
