SHIPALESKY, Irwin

On Monday, Feb. 24, 2020, Irwin Shipalesky, passed away at the age of 85 years. Irwin will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 60 years, Lillian and his children, Kevin, Laura, Patricia (John) Kleine. Irwin will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Catlin (Tiffany), Keith, Sarah, Kayla, step-grandchildren Chris and Cole, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Irwin is survived by his brothers Alfred and Walter and predeceased by his son Darrell and sister Lena.



Irwin was born in Manitoba and moved to B.C. where he met his loving wife Lillian. They built their life together in the Lower Mainland, eventually moving to Maple Ridge where Irwin was a respected businessman and owner of Albion Aluminum Welding. Upon retiring, he and Lillian moved to Barriere where they were beloved by the community. Most recently, they made Kamloops their home  Irwin’s favourite hobby was to load up the motorhome with his aluminum fishing boat in tow and camp beside remote fishing lakes in B.C.



A celebration of life in memory of Irwin will be held in Barriere, BC; date TBD.
