Midas West Kelowna Hosts February Food Drive in Support of the Central Okanagan Food Bank

Love your Community and donate a full bag of non-perishable groceries for a free oil change this February.

West Kelowna, British Columbia // February 1st, 2021 — Midas West Kelowna is promoting community love this February through their newly launched food drive in support of the Central Okanagan Food Bank. The automotive repair shop is collecting bags of non-perishable food and boxes of diapers throughout the month of February while thanking donors with a voucher for a free conventional oil change or 50% off a semi/full synthetic oil change for redemption at the West Kelowna Midas location at a time of their choosing. Limit one voucher per a person.

With all items collected being donated to community residents with the support of the Central Okanagan Food Bank, Midas West Kelowna will collect the non-perishable items and diapers with collection boxes located within their lobby entrance. Donations will be accepted during regular business hours, 7:30am-5:30pm Monday to Saturday from February 1st – 28th, 2021.
“The ‘Love Your Community’ food drive effort was established as our way of assisting with what we see happening nationwide while recognizing those giving back in our community,” notes Midas West Kelowna franchise Owner, Angela Brown. “With the current COVID-19 crisis there are more struggling families and individuals within the region than ever before. As a local business we want to support our community and are fortunate to have so many amazing staff and clients who look forward to stepping up and aiding our community as best we can.”

The Midas West Kelowna team encourages those choosing to donate food items to try and select nutritious foods that they would find in their own homes such as canned tuna, peanut butter, or canned vegetables—rather than less nutritious snack items.
