Kelowna, British Columbia
Wasp Manufacturing Ltd, which specializes in wildfire protection equipment, is pleased to announce it placed No. 178 on the 2022 Report on Business ranking of Canada’s Top Growing Companies. Canada’s Top Growing Companies ranks Canadian companies on three-year revenue growth. Wasp Manufacturing earned its spot with three-year growth of 254%. This is the second year in a row that Wasp has been recognized by the Report on Business as being one of Canada’s fastest growing companies.
“We are extremely proud of this accomplishment for the second year in a row” said company CEO Randy Cowling. “In the past year we have increased our US sales significantly and are extremely excited to announce we are expanding into Australia beginning in 2023”
Wasp Manufacturing holds patents in both Canada and the United States and is patent pending worldwide for it’s Gutter Mount Sprinkler Brackets. These brackets allow firefighters to get water to the roof tops, easily and without ladders, where needed most during wildfire emergencies. Proudly manufactured in Canada, the brackets are now mandatory equipment for structure protection units on contract with British Columbia Wildfire Services.
Brackets are sold to the public through Amazon, directly online via www.waspwildfire.com and through over 120 fire departments in both Canada and the USA, who sell the brackets as part of the Wasp Community Fund Raising Program. The Community Program has helped fire departments throughout North America raise tens of thousands of dollars to go towards equipment and wildfire protection programs in their respective communities. Information on this program is available at www.waspwildfire.com .
Canada’s Top Growing Companies is an editorial ranking that was launched in 2019. It aims to celebrate the boldest entrepreneurial achievement by identifying and bringing the accomplishments of innovative businesses in Canada to the forefront. To qualify for this voluntary program; companies had to complete an in-depth application process and fulfill requirements. In total, 430 companies earned a spot on this year’s ranking. The full list of 2022 winners along with editorial coverage is published in the October issue of Report on Business magazine.
“Canada's Top Growing Companies recognizes the tremendous ambition and innovation of entrepreneurs in Canada," says Dawn Calleja, Editor of Report on Business magazine. “The next generation of Canadian businesses can draw inspiration from this ranking.”
“In an uncertain world, the success stories of the companies marked in this year’s Report on Business magazine’s list of Top Growing Companies are a beacon of optimism,” says Phillip Crawley, Publisher and CEO of The Globe and Mail. “The Globe and Mail congratulates them on their achievements.”
