BNA Brewing Unveils New Burger Joint
The latest update to the Tasting Room at BNA comes just in time for the brewery’s 8th birthday

Kelowna, BC: Burger fans should be excited about the newest food offering in Kelowna’s Cultural District. “BNA Burger” is bringing classic smash burgers to the city’s downtown, and pairing them with their beloved craft beer. “We’re really pumped to share what we’ve been working on” says owner Kyle Nixon, who explains that perfecting the seemingly simple staple has been quite the process. “There isn’t anything to hide behind, and everyone knows what a burger is supposed to taste like, so we wanted to make sure we nailed the sauce, nailed the patty – nailed it all.” Attendees at the recent Kelowna Beer Fest had the opportunity to be the first to try the dialled-in recipe, and they weren’t disappointed. “We actually had return customers within the 6-hour event window, which was really cool to see,” says Carolyn Nixon, Kyle’s business partner and wife. Nixon Hospitality Executive Chef Justin Best has concocted the ultimate burger sauce, which will be featured on the flagship menu item, but guests will also be able to choose from a fried chicken burger, soft serve cones, and a few other sure-to-be-delicious creations. Combos will even include beer – draught to stay or cans to go – and can be customized. BNA Burger hopes to supply everything from lunch to late-night eats and will have options for vegetarian guests. While they’ve started cooking patties already, the official opening day will be Thursday, June 1st, which marks exactly eight years since BNA Brewing first opened to the public. In the years since, the microbrewery has continued to supply quality brews to its own bar and restaurant, and can now be found on tap and in liquor stores throughout the valley.
